The gap

Once a license server is connected, DesignLedger lists every registered design tool, seats owned versus seats in use, and utilization — the seats nobody is touching become visible for the first time.

Vendor contracts are parsed automatically, uploaded directly or pulled from a contract-management system or SharePoint, with AI recording value against each tool and flagging low-confidence terms like renewal dates for confirmation.

Forecast the burn

Usage plus contract value drives a forward view of utilization and spend, including token-based contracts, with a statistical burn-rate projection against the allotment before the budget surprise lands.

Act on it

Under-used seats, looming renewals, and over-allocated tools surface as recommendations, not just dashboards, so the conversation with the vendor happens on your terms and your timeline.

Deployment

Hybrid. A lightweight on-prem agent talks to the customer's license servers — Cadence, Synopsys, and others. Everything else runs on AWS, SaaS-style.

Data scope

License-usage data only. No design data or proprietary IP ever leaves the building, and the customer controls stream frequency and interval.

Access

Corporate SSO. No new credential sprawl for a tool that's meant to reduce risk, not add to it.
